Strait is the Gate and Narrow is the Way

The gate is a little the worse for it. It has never occurred to me to force a gate to get into a church, but there have been several times when I would have forced a gate to get out of a church. And anyway, why not just hop over the wall next to it? Then again, perhaps it is only 300 years of fair wear and tear.
